Southampton accountants and business advisers HWB have announced two new appointments to the 50-strong team ensuring their position as one of the largest independent practices in the region.
The first of the two appointments sees James Alesbury join the independent practice as payroll manager, a role in which he will service all of HWB's clients in the department.
The 28-year-old brings with him eight years industry experience having started his career with B&Q, initially as an administrator before earning himself the role of mainland payroll supervisor for the hardware giant. For the last two years James has worked as payroll and HR data specialist for Solvay Healthcare.
The second of HWB's appointments, Andrew Kershaw, is an existing employee taking a promotion to position of accounts manager. The 33-year-old trained with Smith Acreman before joining HWB following the merger of the two firms in 2004. His career to date has given Andrew a number of specialisms including working with owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
Andrew will continue to work with his clients in his business advisory role and will also assist in the management of over twenty staff in the audit and accounts department.
